If you're planning a weekend getaway in Dutchess County or the Hudson Valley, or you live in the area and are looking for a destination for a day-trip, you may be wondering where you can bring your dog along with you. Rhinebeck, NY provides a wonderful vacation spot with many places that you are welcome to bring your cuddly canine along. With two dogs and five cats, we have some experience in pet-friendly travel and are happy to share our favorite spots.

 

Many Rhinebeck restaurants offer outdoor seating, where you and your furry friend can enjoy a meal together. Graydon Morton, one of the seven pets in the Morton household, has a few recommendations for good eats that are sure to please and are much tastier than the snacks his housemates leave in the litter box.

[**Del’s Roadside**](http://www.delsdairyfarm.com/) is a Rhinebeck icon serving more than just ice cream. Enjoy a smash burger, fries and a shake at the outdoor picnic tables while spending time with your pup. Graydon loves Del's fare and will try to get a hold of your burger so don't leave your plate unattended.

[**Pete’s Famous Restaurant**](https://www.petesfamous.com/) is known for its classic American comfort food and this family-friendly establishment welcomes pets on their outdoor patio.
